Actistem is a same-day procedure – how does it work?
ActiStem is a same-day solution that is broken down into 3 main steps:
- Your veterinarian will sedate your pet and remove a small amount of adipose tissue (fat cells) which is typically 2-4 tablespoons
- The veterinarian will concentrate and activate the stem cells from your pet’s fat using Ardent’s proprietary technology
- The activated stem cells are then reintroduced back to the patient in the area(s) of need
What to expect with Actistem Therapy
Actistem is a same-day solution that can be done at one of Ardent’s partner clinics. It is an all-natural drug free approach to pain management and improving quality of life. Results may vary and you should consult your veterinarian to discuss the specifics of your pet’s case.
You have the ability to store your pet’s stem cells for the future
Ardent offers the Bank Now, Save Later program which would cryo-store your pet’s stem cells for future use. If there is ever a need for ActiStem down the road, your pet’s banked stem cells can be recalled to your Veterinarian. With Ardent’s vast network of partner clinics, you will always have the ability to utilize your pet’s cells if you move.
Actistem Therapy use’s your pet’s own stem cells
Actistem is an autologous therapy which means that everything used in the procedure is sourced from your pet’s own body. Your pet’s stem cells are for their exclusive use. This is what allows our stem cell therapy to be done in-house and same-day.
