Actistem Therapy is a version of Stem Cell Therapy

Due to injury and/or age sometimes our own repair abilities can use a jump-start. By using the pet’s own repair cells isolated from storage areas in the body, this repair ability can be applied to areas of need. This treatment is an injection that does not require any medication for the pet to feel relief. See our video below!

Actistem is a same-day procedure – how does it work?

ActiStem is a same-day treatment that is broken down into 3 main steps:

  1. Your veterinarian will sedate your pet and remove a small amount of adipose tissue (fat cells) which is typically 2-4 tablespoons
  2. The veterinarian will concentrate and activate the stem cells from your pet’s fat using Ardent’s proprietary technology
  3. The activated stem cells are then reintroduced back to the patient in the area(s) of need

What to expect with this treatment

Actistem is a same-day treatment with proprietary technology set up at our partner clinics. Once your veterinarian activates your pet’s stem cells they will be injected into areas of need. The most common post-op side-effect reported is injection-site soreness that fades away within a week. After a couple of weeks, your pet will begin to experience less pain and more mobility. Within months, you will see a drastic improvement in your pet’s overall quality of life. Ardent also provides clinics with post procedure rehab recommendations including at-home exercises.

You have the ability to store your pet’s stem cells for the future

Ardent offers the Bank Now, Save Later program which would cryo-store your pet’s stem cells for future use. If there is ever a need for ActiStem treatment down the road, your pet’s banked stem cells can be called upon at a moment’s notice for a quick and easy injection in areas of need. With Ardent’s vast network of partner clinics, you will always have the ability to utilize your pet’s cells if you move.

Actistem Therapy use’s your pet’s own stem cells

Actistem is an autologous therapy which means that everything used in the procedure is sourced from your pet’s own body. Your pet’s stem cells are for their exclusive use. This is what allows our stem cell therapy to be done in-house and same-day. Over 20,000 pets have received stem cell therapy.
